The principal may allow the agent to handle various activities, including the execution of contracts, dealing with property affairs, overseeing and governing financial affairs, and managing multiple accomplishments. The principal may also revoke or cancel the power of attorney at any time, without exception.

NADRA has introduced an online Power of Attorney registration service for Overseas Pakistanis, but it is currently only available in the UK and USA. However, we strongly advise Overseas Pakistanis to consult with their lawyer before proceeding, as it involves some risk, as they will be delegating their rights to their representative.

Whereas, if you are residing in any other country, you will need to draft a Power of Attorney (or your lawyer will prepare one) and physically go to the Pakistan Consulate in your resident country. You will need to get it registered from there and send the original document to your representative in Pakistan through mail/courier. Furthermore, the process involves your representative seeking attestation from the Foreign Office in Pakistan. In the case of a General Power of Attorney with respect to immovable property, the registration of the Power of Attorney requires further attestation from the concerned Registrar.
